Cunsi Pindo

In the performance Cunsi Pindo with the International Simurgh Theater, Cristina portrayed the character Cunsi Pindo-Uwishin. She manipulated a large mask of Cunsi Pindo while dancing, singing, and acting. The performance was presented in four villages within the jungle.

Directed by Fiore Zulli (Italy), the story of CunsiPindo narrates the life of the harpy eagle, Cunsi Pindo, set in the jungle of Cuyabeno, Sucumbíos, Ecuador, in 2010.

She used and manipulated masks, dancing and acting with them. The performance incorporated masks and instruments from Africa, Asia, and the Americas (including Ghana, Bali, Bolivia, and Ecuador) and tells the story of a princess’s journey through different worlds in her quest for freedom.

The objective of this performance was to showcase inclusive theater, highlighting the talents of individuals with special abilities.
